School Shootings

Another week, another shooting.

It is sad, horrible, and insane that mass shootings of innocent people, young and old, continue to happen.

It was less than two weeks ago, when another 18-year-old drove to Buffalo, NY to kill black people. He killed 10 people at the Tops Friendly Market and injured three people.

Today, an 18-year-old gunman shot his grandmother and proceeded to the Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas to kill children and adults. The shooting just happened today, so the casualty list may change, but so far, the death toll has risen to 18 children and one adult.

I thought about all of the families who send their children to school feeling that they are safe, about the children feeling safe, and the staff feeling safe. I am including myself because I work in an elementary, public school.

God bless all of these people and keep them safe. No one goes to school or work thinking about killers, but maybe if we all thought about them, something would be done to effect change.

I thought about how many school shootings that have occurred and what I found on Wikipedia is mind-boggling. I have included the link below.
